TERRAFORCE is a well-known and award-winning Cape Town-based company that offers interlocking concrete blocks (earth-retaining blocks) for environmentally friendly landscape retaining walls and erosion control. Is a member of the Concrete Manufacturers Association (CMA) and a Level Four BBBEE Contributor.

Terraforce pioneered the hollow, reversible interlocking concrete block that is unmatched in its versatility, both in application and elevation. Suitable for commercial and residential landscape retaining walls, small or large.

The wide range of plantable retaining wall blocks is tailored to create environmentally friendly domestic or industrial installations and to support sustainable development in soil stabilisation. Walls can range from light gravity retaining walls to geogrid reinforced earth-retaining or heavy gravity, double skin walls.

Terraforce blocks adhere to local and international standards having undergone extensive laboratory testing – based on SANS 207, BS 8006 and ASTM-D6916-18 – by professional accreditation agencies over the last 4 decades. In addition, licensed manufacturers must adhere to strict minimum specification and regular compressive strength tests as set out by Terraforce Head office, ensuring that the end user is supplied a quality product.

Maxiwall Design Software for Terraforce Walls

Maxiwall Pro upgrade:

We are happy to announce that Maxiwall Pro now includes important upgrades to ensure our users continue to optimize their workflow and remain in compliance with the most recent Design Standards.

  1. New AASHTO 2020 Simplified Design Methodology.  The new AASHTO 2020 Simplified Design methodology was recently released in the United States and represents the most up to date LRFD Methodology for MSE Walls.  Changes compared to previous versions include the use of the Coulomb Earth Pressure Theory which allows the inclusion of interface friction to reduce applied loads, and the application of Strip and Point Loading behind the Wall.
  2. Plan View Import.  The New Maxiwall allows users to import the Grading and Plan information of the Wall directly from AutoCAD using the Awall2 CAD Tool.  More information about this Tool can be found at www.ctiware.com/awall.  For those of you who do not use AutoCAD, the Awall Web Tool can be used in a similar way.  This can be found at: http://www.ctiware.com/awallweb/awallweb.php
  3. New Graphics interface.  A completely overhauled graphics interface provides clearer, more precise diagrams and images, as well as accommodating smaller screens such as laptops.
