Another award winning installation: Then you hear them and now you don't!

The Architects at the Avenue St.Charles development set out to gain extra space by starting off with a 2m high retaining wall at street level. In order to provide privacy and a measure of noise reduction from the street below, the wall was topped up with a 1,5m high, vertical and double layer noise barrier. Plant growth has established itself beuatifully, and hardly any concrete can been seen. [back to index]

To comply with the Architects stringent aesthetic requirements, all exposed blocks were filled with good quality topsoil. The resulting plant growth has certainly enhanced this prestigious development.
