The Architects
at the Avenue St.Charles development set out to gain extra
space by starting off with a 2m high retaining wall at
street level.
In order to provide privacy and a measure of noise reduction
from the street below, the wall was topped up with a 1,5m
high, vertical and double layer noise barrier.
Plant growth has established itself beuatifully, and hardly
any concrete can been seen.

requirements, all exposed blocks were filled with good quality
topsoil. The resulting plant growth has certainly enhanced
this prestigious development.
